What to consider when buying a nightlatch
Which size do I need?
Yale Nightlatches come in two different backset sizes that fit different door types.
Make sure you measure the door before you purchase one. The backset on a night latch is the distance from the centre of the keyhole to the edge of your door.
Available sizes:
- Narrow width for glazed panel doors – 40 mm
- Standard width for solid doors – 60 mm
Types of Locking
Snib Button Locking
The snib button can be used for locking the door or for holding back the latch when needed.
Auto Deadlocking
This type of nightlatch locks the door automatically.
Turn of Key Locking
The door can be locked with a key from the inside. This is ideal for glazed doors.
