Troubleshooting Steps
The sparks at the rear of the unit are normal for any cordless drill brand that as a brushed motor and is nothing to be alarmed about.
To connect bits to the chuck, simply hold and rotate the chuck until the chuck teeth open enough for the drill bit to fit and then tighten the bit into the chuck by turning the chuck in the opposite direction. When charging the battery ensure the light on the adapter as charged from RED to GREEN, when GREEN the battery as a full charge and ready for use.
If the drill bits break it may be because the operator may have been used the incorrect drill bit for the wrong material or trying to use the drill as a hammer drill. It is only a DIY drill for light drill work or screwing.
