What are the Benefits?

Activated carbon filter works via a process called adsorption, where pollutant molecules in the water are trapped inside the pores of the carbon.

Think of the carbon being like a sponge as it soaks up tastes and smells in the water as it passes through.

The filter does not remove limescale.

When to Change the Filter

The carbon will continue to absorb contaminants only until it’s pores are filled so this is why you need to replace the filter.

We recommend replacing your filter after 6 months or earlier if the quality of your water begins to deteriorate (you will usually start to notice a smell and taste of chlorine again). You should aim to replace the filter after this time period has passed.
