Tips for working with Meguiar’s Scratch X
- Always work on a cool surface and in the shade.
- Always apply a small amount, evenly to prevent streaking and smearing.
- Work a small amount of ScratchX into the paint using moderate pressure and a soft foam applicator like Meguiar’s Microfibre Applicator Pads. Work in a 1-2 square foot area in a circular pattern, making 4-6 overlapping passes per section. Wipe the residue off as soon as you finishing working the area with a clean premium microfiber towel like Meguiar’s Supreme Shine Microfibre Towels. Flip your towel to a clean side for a final wipe.
- Work ScratchX in with slight friction as this is needed to activate the micro-abrasive and remove defects. If it’s just simply wiped on and wiped off like a wax, it won’t work to remove the defect.
- For deeper scratches you may need to repeat the process.
